Powerball jackpot soars to $750 million! It ranks among the top 10 in history and will be drawn on Monday night!

The Powerball® jackpot, which has been steadily rising this summer, has now reached the tenth-highest amount in the game's history—with an estimated total value of $750 million! If you choose to take a lump-sum payment, the amount would be approximately $338.6 million.
Want to go for this massive jackpot? The next drawing is on Monday night.
“The excitement for chasing the Powerball jackpot is back!” said Matt Strawn, Chairman of the Powerball Product Group and CEO of the Iowa Lottery. “For just $2, you could be Monday night’s lucky winner. Plus, a portion of your ticket purchase goes directly to supporting community projects in your area.”
Last Saturday (August 23), the Powerball winning numbers were:
White balls: 11, 14, 34, 47, 51
Red ball (Powerball): 18
Power Play® multiplier: 2.
No one matched all six numbers, but three tickets matched all five white balls:
One each in Maine and New York, each winning $1 million;
One in South Dakota, which added the Power Play option for an extra $1, doubling the prize to $2 million!
Additionally, on Saturday, there were:
31 tickets winning $50,000;
5 tickets winning $100,000.
If someone wins the jackpot on Monday night, they can choose between:
Receiving approximately $750 million in installments;
Or taking approximately $338.6 million in a lump sum (both before taxes).
If the installment option is chosen, the winner will first receive an initial payment, followed by annual payments over 29 years, with each payment increasing by 5% annually.
Powerball tickets cost $2 per play.
They are sold in 45 states across the U.S., the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
More than half of the proceeds from each ticket remain locally to support charitable causes.
Since its first drawing in 1992, Powerball has contributed over $36 billion to various charitable projects in the U.S.
Drawings are held three times a week:
Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at 10:59 PM (Eastern Time),
broadcast live from a studio in Tallahassee, Florida,
and can also be viewed online in real-time at Powerball.com.
